A Day In A Life of A Filipina Virtual Assistant
Being a wife, a mom,a boss, a daughter and a virtual assistant means juggling several hats all at the same time. And its not a very easy job. I find myself usually stressed and overwhelmed at the end of the day most of the time.
My daily routine:
3AM - Wake up and head straight to my hot pink office table.
7Am - breakfast time with kee-kee and JM. Right after breakfast I find it difficult to concentrate at work cause kee-kee would keep disturbing me at work for some love and attention
8AM - phone my parents to check how they are
11am -lunch time and right after put baby to afternoon nappy
12 noon - report my progress reports to clients
1pm onwards is supposed to be my rest but I still (most of the time) find myself in front of the pc for more work.
7pm - dinner time
8pm bed time for kee-kee and quality time with JM
11pm -back to work!
I usually just take a few hours sleep and rest in between...
Looks stressful?
Yes. I know, i badly need time management.
Great thing is that I work with the best team of virtual assistants in town that makes my life much much easier. And I was also blessed with the best parents who is very supportive of me and our family. I usually ask them to baby sit during hectic days.
Oh Yeah and I forgot to mention, I don't have active social life. I have online friends that makes me sane though!
If I want to relax, all I do is step out of the office and take a walk at the beach and sometimes even a dip.
I don't have a day off- I work even on weekends but most of the time I close out my sundays and mondays for the family... We just go get an ice cream and watch movies. Or just take a drive to town do some shopping, eat out and back again in my hot pink office table.
I love the life Im living now. I love how busy I am as a VA, and a mom. It is still full of imperfections though but what is more important is that I live a happy life and Im able to help other people.
I dont have to ask for anything more..
