Saylo - Food Review

Ever since I got married, exploring different restaurants and food trip is always our bonding time. I think its pretty obvious with my size... but since we moved to the province, we didn't have the time to do this often.

Today, we went to Saylo. Its a new restaurant in Kalibo. Saylo in Aklanon dialect means, "Come in". The venue is great and homey. I love how the designer used nature as its theme. The venue is romantic and private, ideal for couples who want to talk privately far from the chaotic buzz in the city.

My husband ordered a "Sloppy Burger", I ordered Chicken adobo layers for my daughter and mine is Bistek Tagalog. I have high expectations because it is a bit pricey. The waitresses and their staff are very friendly and accommodating, they even offered us a tea while we waited for the main course to be served.

Overall, the food is okay, mediocre. we feel the price is a bit high for the quality of food that we ordered. I was particularly a bit disappointed how hard the chicken adobo layers is. But the beefsteak as well as the burger is just okay. I expected the burger to be a bit bigger though.

I would still recommend you try them out for their superb service and great venue.
